The second of my historical caches.
You are looking for a small Sterolite container just big enough for a logbook and a few small items. It is not intended to be hard to find, but since people come to this area, it's hiding place might be noticeable to cachers, but not to the general public. I rated difficulty at 2.5 because of that. Same thing with terrain. A bit of bushwacking is required, and the ground is disturbed by "miners", which is why it got a 2.5.
And, a cool FTF gift.
Background:
Just up the hill to the South is the old Red Wing Pottery factory, now a shopping mall and in it a museum of Red Wing Pottery.
Pottery that didn't make the grade was thrown out behind the factory, that is, in this area. All broken and shattered, the shards of Red Wing Pottery piled up over the 50 or so years the factory was in production.
The factory is closed, and Red Wing Pottery has enjoyed a rising of it's populariy, rarity, and value.
So, like my other cache, Tile Trash, stroll of sit among the ruins of a once mighty industry, the discarded remnants of Red Wing's history.
As you will see, this area has been "mined" for potential valuables.
