I was out in the Zodiac in Finlayson Arm with Relic Hounds on a fine October day when we came across these strange ruins on the shore. As far a we could tell, they were just random as the path went nowhere. Perhaps you could explain or if not, use your imagination.
As I said, this was placed by boat so access from Highway 1 on the Malahat is a complete mystery to me. You're guess is as good as mine. Visitors to Victoria, this is your warning!
If you want to attempt this cache by land, first log on to Google Earth with the terrain layer enabled and tilt the view where you can then judge if this cache is for you.
You could also paddle in but it's a long way from the Goldstream Boathouse. The water is fairly placid in the arm but could become very rough during foul weather.
