Geocache Description:

This cache will make an easy walk from the suggested parking place, enabling 3 caches to be done for a little effort. You pass by A Yogi Yorkshire Ramble on the way to the cache, and onwards to Billing Vista after. If you then head straight back towards A Yogi Yorkshire Ramble, you return more or less directly back to your car.

On your way to the cache it is possible to see the Ferrybridge, Eggborough and Drax Power Stations

Once you have recovered the cache, it is recommended you rest a while at the handy resting place. This is the place I really wanted to place the cache, but other than hiding a micro (and I did not want you climbing that hill for a micro), its current hiding place will have to do.

I used to walk up here with my son just as it was getting dark, in winter with a flask of Hot Chocolate. It’s the Aireborough equivalent of watching the lights come on in Manhattan from across the East River !! If you can choose what time of day to visit, dusk is highly reccomended.

From this spot from left to right you can see the windmills on Ogden Moor, The Aire Vally, with Shipley Glen above, Baildon, Rombalds and Ilkley Moor, Wharfedale, Beamsey Beacon, and Otley Chevin .Of course it has to be a clear day !!

Closer is Larkfield Lake, and Rawdon, Yeadon, Guiseley and the Western End of Leeds/Bradford Airport. Finally on a bearing of about 320 of at a range of about 3/4 mile is our house !!!

At night, can you pick up the long drag on the M62 from Brighouse, or see aircraft making their approach to Manchester across to the South.
