Geocache Description:

You will find this traditional cache near the small chapel d'en Serra, also known as Sa Capelleta. It is to be found on the top of the hill of the same name, 393 meters high.

To reache the chapel you can park your car at N 38º 55.455 E 001º 20.078 and take the path on foot (15 min). From the top the island of Formentera can be seen with extraordinary view over Ibiza.

The religious building originates from a promise made by Vincent Serra when he had to go to the Algerian war, according to which if he returned he would build a chapel. He fulfilled his promise and after his return in 1919, he built the chapel himself and also made the ceramic Christ to be found in it. Vincent Serra died at the age of 74, five days before the blessing of the chapel, that was held on May 29, 1919.
