We hid this cache while out enjoying the Fort Bayard Wildlife Refuge. While we didn't see any wildlife on this visit, in the Gila area we have seen foxes, owls, coyotes, skunks, a mountain lion (from a vehicle!), and many beautiful birds.
After visiting the Fort Buffalo Waterhole (GCK7D0), we wandered up the trail a bit, enjoying the view and catching a cool breeze. This seemed like a nice spot to stop and place a cache. :-)
Parking is available at the trailhead 32 47.676, 108 11.044. Take the left gate and stay left on Sawmill Trail. Parking area also has a bathroom.
