Geocache Description:

I propose you to discover a strange place in our region. After the last log I add a wpt parking.

Located in the town of St. Regis-the-corner, the stone always seems to have been used as a boundary between several areas. It marked the Gallo-Roman frontier between three provinces: Lyon Gaul, Gaul and Narbonne Gaul Aquitaine. Under Charlemagne, it served as a frontier between Aquitaine, Provence and Burgundy, it was used as a demarcation at the division of the empire in 843. In the Middle Ages, it delineated the Archdioceses Lyon, Vienna and Puys. It is likely that this characteristic is his name, and the bishops could gather on the stone without leaving their diocese. It is unlikely that such meetings have occurred.
