UPDATE: 12-4-09, WHEN YOU GET TO THE LOCATION, PLEASE USE THE SIDE DOOR, THAT IS FACING TURKEY HILL! THANK YOU. Also, I am not sure now if I am able to have hot chocolate available. I have to work in the morning now, so I don't think I will have enough time to get it ready for the event, so I purchased some apple cider on the way home from work today. So I am just going to have some of that, sorry if that is a bummer for anyone, but hey, the bar will be open, so if anyone would like to purchase some more "adult" drinks, then go ahead. :) I am looking forward to the event, as well as being nervous about it as well! So, hope it all goes well, and we will see you all tomorrow! UPDATE 11-16-09: I am working on getting some caches hidden for release of the event date! so try your luck to get a first to find, or maybe even a couple!! Also, I will have a couple of my personal geocoins there, set up for you to take a look at, and discover, if you choose too. And if anyone wants to bring some coins or travel bugs to the event to share with people, just drop a note for the event, and drop the coins or bugs off, to add them to the cache listing! thanks. update #2: The bar/restaurant will be shut down for our private use...of course it is open to anyone interested in geocaching. We will have the place to ourselves from 12:00p.m.-3:00p.m. There will be a bartender on hand at the bar for those of you who would like to purchase drinks. I will be providing water and hot chocolate, and some goodies for you to munch on. If you would like to bring your favorite holiday treat, you are welcome to do so. Just list what you would like to bring. The bar will open to the public at 3:00p.m. you are welcome to stick around for drinks at the bar, but the event will finish up for 3:00, so we don't interfere with the normal business hours of the bar/restaurant.

This time of the year, is a busy, busy time. Why not take a couple hours out of one day, to sit back and relax with some friends.This is your chance to get together with people that you may only know their names in a log book. A very informal gathering of people who have geocaching in common. Getting together to get away from the craziness of the holidays. Discuss all the caches you went and found throughout the year....or didn't find. ;) Make some new friends, and hang out with old friends. New cachers are welcome and encouraged to join us. This is a slow caching time of the year for some, so take this opportunity to get another cache under your belt. We will be having a raffle also,(if anyone would like to donate some items for the raffle, we would appreciate it)

If you plan to attend

Please say in your will attend log, how many people will be coming with you. (I need a rough idea of how many will attend) and if you would like to bring a small holiday treat to set out on the treat table, for all to enjoy, just let us know what it will be, and we will post it.

12-1 arrival/sign in.

1-2 meet/chat about geocaching. Snack on holiday treats

2:00 start the raffle and giveaways.

3:00 group photo. Then the people who participated in secret santa will receive their gifts. Then we will all part our ways, and maybe go out and get some geocaches!! Also, there is another event just a few miles up the road that will be starting at 5:30 GC20NF4 So after this event, get some caching in, and then come on up to that event and have a great time...I know we will be there!


I will have a dontation container set up, if anyone would like to donate to help out with the costs of the event. It would be appreciated. thank you.

update: SECRET SANTA: If you would like to participate in the Secret Santa gift exchange for this event, just make sure you bring your wrapped gift to the event, and the people that brought gifts can do an secret exchange.

We will have hot chocolate and some cookies for everyone to snack on. If you would like to bring one of your favorite holiday treats, please say so in your attendance log, so I can start a list of snack items that people will be bringing.
