Park at front or back of library/city hall or anywhere around the rec center.
A year or so ago, the Port Moody Recreation Center was overhauled and enlarged to create a really nice complex. Now this facility includes new and improved recreation areas with arenas, up-to-date gyms, giant hot tub and much more.
City Hall resides in the next building which is shared with the library and the Inlet Theatre (for live performances). Behind the complex are tennis courts and an outdoor amphitheatre. One can cross the soccer fields to access trails which are part of the Transcanada Trail and within a walk of a few minutes, one can stand at the most easterly end of the Burrard Inlet.
Back at the front of the rec center you might like to walk across Knowles Street to Pioneer Memorial Park, a lovely little park which has taken the place of long-ago private homes. The park is now enhanced by the Labyrinth Healing Garden which will likely be completed in 2010. A circular path leads to the center and engraved stepping stones along the way will inspire those who wish to meditate.
Please make sure that the cache is securely replaced. There is a little FTF ( and lots of other trinkets) which Soccerbaby and Soccerbrother thought you would like because they do.
