This cache is one of a series whose placements are designed to guide you to several interesting if not unique, features of Sarnia's Lower West Side
(LWS).
Historywise, look around. You are on Christina Street South; about to enter the Chemical Valley. For those of you who have not been here for a while you'll notice the area has been cleaned up somewhat ; presenting a more parklike atmosphere. Within a few city blocks is the entrance to Imperial Oil's Refinery; named after "The Imperial City", the slogan of choice when just less than one hundred years ago, Sarnia became a city.
Also close by is the mouth of the world renowned St. Clair Tunnel first opened in 1891. While you are here please take a moment to remember those hard oilers and railway men that spent their lives contributing to the legacy of our great country.
The cache is a small lock-on-lock box meant as a short layover for weary Travel Bugs and Geo Coins. Feel free to transfer any of the Trackable items and report them appropriately on-line.
Bring something to write with, mark your ID and the date in the log and, replace the cache as and where you found it.
