"Take A Picture"
Brought to you by a member of the:
This event has been coordinated to be part of the sixth bi-annual
WWFM (World Wide Flash Mob) event Saturday, November 14, 2009 at
1:00pm. The posted event location is outside the Hoito on Bay
Street.
This is a themed "Flash Mob" Gathering of Geocachers so bring your
camera!!
You MUST be present and sign a log sheet during the 15
minutes to claim the event.
Please BYOP! (Bring your own pen).
The
theme?
Have your camera hidden until the event begins. When the event
begins take take out your camera and take lots of pictures. Let's
have the muggles wondering what has caused this mob of
photographers (paparazzi maybe?).
What is a
Flash Mob?
A Flash Mob is a gathering of geocachers at a predetermined
location, who perform some brief action, and then quickly disperse.
The WWFM involves thousands of cachers meeting at hundreds of
locations around the world at the same time. The idea of a Flash
Mob is to blend in until 1:00pm (when the whistle is blown).
The
Schedule:
1:00pm - The whistle blows and all cachers will converge on
the bucket that will be placed at the coordinates. Have your
cameras out and start taking pictures of the Hoito and other
cachers. Place your log sheets in the bucket (there will be some
log sheets available if you forget).
1:02pm - Meet, mingle with fellow cachers and continue to
take plenty of photographs of cachers and the Hoito.
1:05pm - FTF will be drawn from the log sheets.
1:09pm - A group photo will be taken. (who's bringing the
camera?)
1:14pm - A one minute warning whistle will sound. Prepare to
vacate the premises.
1:15pm - Beat it! Vamoose! Scram! Take a hike! Please
practice CITO at the event. Don't leave any trash behind.
WWFM VI event pathtags will be given to the first 15 cachers
that log "will attend" and do attend the event.
After the event post your best photos on the geocaching.com event
page.
