Geocache Description:

To find this school you will follow Kuhn ridge road which was built on the old logging railroad bed from HWY 3 about nine miles. You will be looking for a ammo can which can be found easy if the snow is not to deep.

The Ridge and School were named after Henry and Elias (Lige) Kuhn (their homesteads joined on the south), distant relatives of the Kuhn family from the Paradise area. Henry married Bertha McCubbin; they both had homesteads on the ridge before they were married. Henry and Bertha sold their land in 1913. A cousin of the Kuhns, Howard, lives in La Grand, Or.
This was another of the areas where families were snow-bound during the winter. They didn't get to Enterprise very often_usally only in spring and fall to buy supplies.
School was only held during the spring and the summer months because the snow was so deep during the winter.
