Geocache Description:

This a multi for the whole family. Be sure to bring along a camera and your own pen/pencil. The hides should be accessible for kids with short distances for short attention spans.

You may be familiar with the children’s' book character “Flat Stanley” Lambchop, who is flattened paper-thin by a bulletin board. He soon is sliding under doors and visiting his friends by mail. But this story is about me, Flat Stanley’s lesser-known cousin, Flat Jack Foundit. I came upon a similar fate when I tried to squeeze between two rocks while geocaching. My new shape makes it a challenge for me to cache by myself, but I still love to hide them!

I also love riddles. On this adventure, I made a trip to Bauman Park to play on the playground and skip rocks at the river. While there, I hid a cache and a clue where to find it. The given coordinates will take you to the first stage. To know which direction to go from there, you'll need to solve this riddle...

I start out in action but never in motion,
and I always begin alone.
I come in real fast but not very timely,
and never driven or flown.

At the first stage, I am hiding with a list of three choices for the final coordinates. Remember when looking for me...I am FLAT. The riddle will help you decide which set of coordinates to use. One set will take you to the final filled with lots of goodies for kids of all ages as well as a special visitor. The other two will take you…well…not to the final. Younger kids might need an adult to help solve the riddle (or maybe the kids will be the one to help the adults!), but a little thinking and the clues should help you narrow it down.

Make sure to take some pictures from your visit at the final to post along with your log of your playtime. Also, please take care to place everything back the way you found it so the next cachers can enjoy the adventure. Happy Hunting!
