A very short walk through a unique forest area. Generally flat, wooded terrain.
Traditional cache in a medium waterproofed plastic container. This is located in the Clintonville Pine Barrens just north of Ausable Forks, NY. To get to the small trailhead parking area, follow Dry Bridge Road to its intersection with Buck Hill Road. The 2 car parking area and trail register are about 3/4 mile along Buck Hill Rd at N 44 28.044 W 073.38.137. The entire area is well maintained by the Nature Conservancy and is open to hikers, photographers and other "non-lethal" outdoor enthusiasts. It's a great hike for kids and may be accessible to those folks with moderate mobility impairments (walkers, canes), although I'm reluctant to say it's wheelchait accesible. It'd be great on snowshoes or skis as well.
