Geocache Description:

Enter at the Lafayette entrance to the Dequindre Cut. Watch for muggles. This is a popular walking/biking path.

The Dequindre Cut is maintained by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy. You can get more information about this outstanding effort at:

Previous to the opening of the Dequindre Cut this past spring, the Dequindre Cut was an abandoned railroad line that numerous urban taggers had decorated with graffiti. This graffiti has been preserved for the enjoyment of all in the Dequindre Cut.

The Dequindre Cut begins at Eastern Market off of Gratiot and ends south of Jefferson. They have plans to connect it to the Detroit RiverWalk. The only entrances to the Dequindre Cut are at Gratiot, Lafayette or south of Jefferson.
