Equestrian Arena Extravaganza Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

SnoWake: Despite the proximity, I just haven't found myself back in the area with a suitable replacement container. Archiving this one, opening the spot up for someone else - or an upgraded hide from me.

Geocache Description:

Martinez Waterfront Park has a bit of something for everyone: Playgrounds, skate park, picnic areas, bocce, theatre, fishing, bird watching, exercising, equestrian activities... and, of course - plenty of caches.

If that's not enough - it's also adjacent to EBRPD's Martinez Regional Shoreline, with additional trails, bridges, and... more caches.

Over the years I've been coming here, it's very rare that I've encountered an active equestrian event down in this quiet corner of the park. There have been caches nearby, but never quite in this area. You'll need to use extreme stealth if the area is in use - or, perhaps, just plan to visit on another day, as you should have the entire place to yourself on a 'normal' day.

Daphne and I were out walking the dogs just before sunset this evening, and I just happened to have a micro in my pocket. We scouted the area as we made our normal loop, picking out a couple of potential hiding spots - then came back to make the hide at the end of the walk.
