The area where this geocache is located is haunted. There are
multiple ghostly apparitions that appear along this short stretch
of road.
On this old country road, a gruesome accident occurred not that
long ago. A man on a motorcycle veered off the road, hit a tree,
and was instantly killed.
Further down Polecat Road from where the accident occurred is the
site where, years ago, members of the Ku Klux Klan held meetings
and supposedly also sometimes conducted lynchings.
The ghost that has been encountered here is that of the dead
motorcyclist. Some people have seen multiple ghosts, or have had
multiple encounters, and they believe that the spirits here also
include the victims of the racial violence.
The ghosts appear as orbs of light. Most people say that the orbs
are greenish in color. Some people have seen only one orb, while
others have seen multiple orbs. As you drive down the road, look
into the woods off to the side of the road into the trees. That is
where you will see the apparitions.
Hopefully, by purpose or by chance, you will find yourself
searching this geocache at night. Hopefully, you will see the
ghost(s). If you encounter any sort of eerieness, please make sure
to tell us about it.
This geocache is formed as a multi-staged geocache so that you are
assured to travel the length of the road, through the haunted
area.
At the posted coordinates, you will find a small sign with some
letters and numbers on it. There are four numbers, and in order
left to right, top to bottom, the numbers are represented as
ABCD.
