Geocache Description:

Shitennoji Temple was built by Shotoku-Taishi (Prince Shotoku) in 593, over 1400 years ago, and the oldest temple in Japan.

Soutoku-Taishi built this temple to commemorate the triumph of Soga against Mononobe in their battle. There is a beautiful Goju-no-Tou (Five Story Pagoda) in the center of the temple. There also is a museum where you can appreciate treasures kept from ancient ages.

Spend time to imagine old times.

A cache is hidden in front of the rest house, from where muggles may keep eyes on you.
