Geocache Description:

The idea behind this cache is to form a very pleasant 4 mile circular walk linking it to our two other caches in the area:

GC20N6D - Centenary Way To Thixendale

GC20MJG - Wolds Way To Thixendale (now archived)

The route starts out from Thixendale village on the Centenary Way past the Cross Keys Public House and the cricket ground. After 1 1/2 miles it meets the Wolds Way opposite Wharram Percy Farm. Turn left at the path junction, then left again at the disused pit to return via Vessey Hill, over Cow Wold and following the Wolds Way back to the village.

The walk includes two stiles.

The path can get very muddy in places so suitable footware is required. It is a sheep and cattle grazing area therefore dogs must be kept on a lead.

The cache is a small Tupperware-style container.

Originally the cache contained:

Log book, pen and pencil (please leave in cache)
First to Find badge
'RNLI - Bridlington Lifeboats' Travel Bug
Multi-coloured crayon
Whistle
Tiger puzzle
Smiley notebook
Supermum keyring
Breast Cancer badge
Giraffe rubber
Geocache stash card
