Geocache Description:

Another cache on the south shore of lake simcoe in Willow Beach near a cottage I provide maintenance for.

The great paddle boat disaster of '07 occured when someone did not secure the boat properly and when the following major storm passed through it was smashed up onto the rocks in the bank. The Paddle Wheeler sank and with yet another storm buried it into the shoreline.

We have tried to dig it out several times to no avail. I have even tried to use a 4000 lb winch, but alas, it just won't budge. It has now become a landmark for boaters as they pass by.

This can be a very high muggle area in the summer, especially on the weekends. There is no parking and no stopping along lake drive, this is highly enforced in the summer months, not so much in the winter, but don't blame me if you do it and get a ticket.

There is parking at the park just a short distance to the east that is an easy walk even in the winter.
Update: It has been brought to my attention that the parking area has been closed off for the winter. (must be a new thing?)

The cache is a camo taped 35mm film cannister that is also covered with natural camoflage that you will find on the ground. Please make sure that you replace the cache as you found it and cover it as needed.
