Geocache Description:

This cache is located at my place of work. I have aquired permission from the plant manager to place this cache here. Please don't wander around the cars. You can park off the road inside the lot but watch for traffic. Thank You.

In 1981 when this building was built, the geothermal air conditioning unit was installed. Outside air is brought in through three sets of short concrete towers. Then runs through three foot diameter pipes buried underground filled half full of limestone. Giant fans inside the building pull the cool air in to cool the building. This was the first commercial geothermal cooling system in the United States. It kept the building as cool as air conditioning until due to less than perfect construction, the tunnels partially caved in. They still use this system but supplement it with modern day air conditioning units. This is a very nice place to work .We make rubber and teflon partss for many applications. From fire hydrant gaskets to brake seals for NASCAR to parts for Nike sippy bottles and even parts for Maytag washers.

Cache is a rectangular tupperware container with room for small travelbugs and small trade items. It contains swag items, a log, and pencils. First to find recieves their choice between a limited edition Thomas Tshirt along or a book of free french fries.Yummy!!
