Geocache Description:

Hidden within the area of Wat Udong, which was the former capital of Cambodia about 30km north of Phnom Penh.

The setting is near to Wat Udong mountain.
Udong means 'victorious' and dates back to the early 7th century
Mount Udong is the former capital city of Cambodia from 1618-1866 before the capital was relocated to the present Phnom Penh.
It is now the official resting place of the most sacred of the Buddha's bones possessed by Cambodia.
It is located in Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province, Cambodia.
The cache is not on top of the mountain, so don't worry, there aren't 600 steps to climb to reach it.
However, it is hidden slightly off the beaten track, so you will need to find the 'Indiana Jones' in you to find it!
The spot is overgrown, but you shouldn't need a machete to fight through the foliage, however it is not advisable to try to locate it if you're in your best clothes!
There is a little climbing involved, as the cache is hidden on top of a rocky outcrop, used by monks to meditate (there's a small shrine on top).
Be very careful when climbing, as the rocks can be slippy after rain.
The cache is slightly away from the small shrine, on top of an adjoining rock, which is quite tricky to reach unless you have good climbing shoes.
You will see an old wooden box type object, which, when you lift it, will reveal your prize!
Please be aware, this is Asia, and it's not good practise to stick your hand into any dark place before checking for snakes, spiders, scorpions, ogres etc!
Have fun, and keep an eye out for more of my caches to follow.
