Welcome to the first of what will hopefully become a series of picto-puzzle caches. Each puzzle is designed to be fun and not overly difficult to figure out with a bit of lateral thinking and googling. However, clues will be posted at a later date if necessary.
First things first, the published co-ordinates do not point to the cache site, but rather to a prominent local landmark in the town of Pontardawe. Who knows, perhaps you can even see the final cache location from this site!
The landmark has no relevance to solving the puzzle so don't waste your time going down that avenue, however, the cache is located within 3 miles of this location, and is a 500ml tupperware container concealed in a camouflage bag.
To work out the actual cache co-ordinates you will need to decipher the puzzle below. Good luck!
Pontardawe is spoilt for choice when it comes to geocaches which offer great views over the town, and once you’ve figured this puzzle out you can enjoy what we consider to be the best view of the town and surrounding area.
N.B. Tread carefully when at ground zero. There is a fairly steep drop close to the cache site, so it is probably best not to attempt it at night. Also, the most direct route on your GPS may not be the easiest. There is a small path leading directly to the cache site (sensible footwear recommended), which may not show on your map.
