The Mega Scotland team are holding a fundraising event at
Dewars, the Mega Scotland venue, on Saturday 28th November and
invite everyone to come along and have some seasonal fun.
From 4.30pm we will be holding a Christmas Fayre with lots of
seasonal goodies to buy and lots to do.
There will be complementary mulled wine and mince pies served at
4.30pm, but when they’re gone - they’re gone, so get there
early.
Offered for sale will be Mega Scotland calendars, Christmas
cards, Christmas decorations, homemade jams and preserves, and lots
lot more (to be announced soon).....
So that you don’t miss out on the wonderful
Mega Scotland calendars you can pre-order them in your ‘will
attend’ log and they will be waiting for you to collect, just £5
each. Get your orders for calendars in now!!!
There will be some festive activities for both young and old.
Why not try making a Christmas card for that special someone,
prizes will be awarded for the best efforts. Or perhaps you’d like
to try decorating tree decorations, some of which are edible so if
you don’t like it you can eat it!
We’ll have a tombola and a raffle for you to try along with some
other fun games too. If you’re good at counting sweeties or
guessing then we’ve got just the competition for you! Come along
and have some festive fun, its free and all are most welcome.
Dewars will be serving a range of drinks and
snacks from their cafe, and the bar will be open (of course).
Are you a crafting cacher?
Or do you have a secret talent for making things? If you’d like to
help support Mega Scotland and either host your own stall, or
donate items then please get in touch. Also any donations for the
tombola and raffle would be greatly appreciated.
Phil from OverTheFence has kindly offered to
produce and host a Quiz night (thank you Phil), which will follow
the Christmas Fayre and commence from 6pm in the
same room at Dewars.
The quiz will have questions for all ages and about a host of
different subjects, so everyone can get involved. There will
be spot prizes throughout the quiz so everyone has a chance of
winning something, along with prizes for the winning teams (1st,
2nd and 3rd).
Teams of upto 5 people please. We expect you to
think of a funny and seasonal team name but don’t worry if you’ve
not got a team, there will be lots of opportunity to join one on
the day.
At the half way point of the quiz there will be a buffet supper
served, full details of the menu to follow.
Please note that the cost
for entering the quiz and buffet is £7 per adult and £5 per child
(under 16), payable on the night.
As we need to tell the caterers
numbers can you please state in your ‘will attend’ log whether you
are staying for the quiz (and any special dietary
requirements)
