This is one of two caches located on the David Bates Greenway trail. The trail hours are dawn to dusk, and it is handicap accessible although the caches cannot be reached with a wheelchair. The trail is a paved pathway that follows a stream thru the woods. There are many pretty areas with benches for sitting. The trail is an out-and-back, one end is on Hamby Road and the other is on Rockbridge Road. There is a cache located near both ends.
The cache coordinates are shown. The nearest trail head is located on Rockbridge Road at these coordinates N 34° 48.130 W 082° 18.200.
There is street parking available at the trail head, but only on one side of the road. Watch for the trail head sign and signs announcing which side of the road you can park on.
You should walk the nice paved trail for about 250 feet before leaving the trail to find this cache. The cache is a 5 gallon camoflaged bucket and is not far off the trail. Watchout out for muggles.
FTF goes to UncleSkeleton, who was moments ahead of the geocaching flashmob!
