This cache provides a view of a bygone era of shipbuilding on the Miura peninsula, a 10 minutes train ride south of Yokosuka.
I was lucky to visit this shipyard a few years ago and meet an old-timer employee who built ships many years ago with hot, hammered rivets. Now that was a long time ago!
Cache can be reached from the sidewalk so no need for daring climbing risk or jetskis, etc.
Cars, weekend bikers, fishermen all pass by here but you can still easily get cache undetected.
Please come to the town of Uraga by Keikyu train line and enjoy some of the other caches in the area.
Please note waypoint for the cute, red ferry that will transport you to the other side of the water and to the Hodoji temple cache (150Y; runs every 5 minutes; bikes ok):
