The cache is hidden close to the Australian Alps Walking Track where the track drops into the valley of the Morass Creek (coming from Walhalla). The AAWT is a long distance walking track, starting in Walhalla, Victoria and ending at Tharwa, ACT. The length of the track is 683 Km and takes the walker through the most spectacular alpine country on the mainland. The cache is located almost halfway along the track.
The track varies in this area from 4X4 to well defined and marked overgrown walking track, with some short steep climbs. If you are coming in from the Benambra/ Corryong Road, the walk will take approx three hours each way. If you come in from the Lower Tablelands Road it will take approx 45 Mins each way.
The cache is a 1.2 Lt Sistema box
