Geocache Description:

Near Gantey Monastery, Phobjika Valley (2,975 m)

Phobjika Valley has to be one of the most beautiful places I have seen.

When the Black Crane's arrive from Tibet they circle this small hill before flying to the valley floor to feed for the winter - that's a small indication of how special this place is. At the time I visited, the valley did not have electricity and felt quite removed from the modern world.

Access: You walk up to the Gantey Monastery across the valley floor and up through the forest to the hill top - highly recommended - or you can drive.

updated Location: With your back to the Monastery walk down the road and you will arrive at a long Mani wall. At the far end is a Stupa. The cache is in the end of the Mani wall facing the Stupa. In the wall is a circular decoration, on the right side of this 2 bricks down.
