The Leasowes Park is Grade 1 listed on the English Heritage's Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England. The park covers 58 hectares, including Halesowen Golf Club. It consists of steeply wooded hillsides, rolling grasslands, small lakes, and streams incising their way through two narrow valleys.
Thank you to the park Wardens for giving permission to place some caches in the park.
The cache is situated in an area that gives good views across the park and the lake. Next to GZ is Leasowes Miniature Railway that was opened in 1990 and operates along the towpath of the old Dudley No 2 Canal. The line starts next to the car park and ends at the lake view.
Train Opening Times: Sundays and Bank Holidays throughout the summer from 2:30pm to 6pm. (Weather Permitting) A small fee is charged to ride on the train.
Note! You do not have to climb over any fences to retrieve the cache.
