Geocache Description:

This journey takes you to a scenic overlook of Bolton Notch Pond. The pond is adjacent to Freja Park and Bolton Notch State Park. This is an excellent spot to relax and enjoy lunch. The Shenipsit Trail runs through this area. It is about 40 miles from end to end. Bring your own pencil. As always, enjoy the adventure!

State Park and Forest Recreation Areas are open to the public year round, as conditions permit, from sunrise until sunset. Pets on a leash are permitted in most state parks and forests. Owners must remove and properly dispose of pet waste left by the pet or riding animal under their control. There are no entry fees.
