Swamp, thorns and stinging nettles abound on this nature hike through the edges of RiverWinds. Not too bad though.
MuckSavage is a local veteran cacher who has a host of caches in the area. Not only does he create difficult hides in awkward places, he is also a finder with over 500 finds under his belt.(*)
Recently, I made some very bad choices when it comes to 'knowing your vehicle' and it's capabilities. I got not only my car stuck, but flooded the fiancees also, to the tune of almost 2k.
The vehicles would have both been burned to their shells if left out there so I was very,very fortunate to have a geocacher/friend like Muck. I don't want to go into all of the gory details of his Herculean efforts, but let's just say the chances of us getting both vehicles back out were about 15%.
How he got it done, I don't know.
Anyway...this is a tribute cache to Tim. I have included in the cache as a prize for TIM, a untrackable white Jeep geocoin from my collection.
Please leave that item for Tim, anything else is up for grabs. ( including our new FTF medals...)
This area is a beautifully preserved wetland which ties in with the Delaware River. There are many types of wildlife out here, Rumgirl says she found a hawks feather to boot! Now that there are four caches here, I am sure there will be much more traffic on the nature trails. We saw many bikers, dog walkers and birders while we hiked.
