Geocache Description:

This is a commemorative cache that celebrates FSU*Noles 7500th find! Bring your own pencil!

I was introduced to FSU*Noles on a social networking website in early 2009 while I was layed off from work. As time went by, I started learning things about him and realized that we had some things in common. We were both looking for jobs at the time, both interested in sports hockey and football, and both of us enjoy time with our families and playing video games. I also noticed that he was interested in this thing called "geocaching", but I didn't have any idea what it was... until I couldn't stand it anymore and decided to ask! I was told to check out geocaching.com and once I did, I discovered it might be something I would be interested in.

My first few cache finds were performed without a GPS - real park and grabs! After I was hooked but realized I could no longer go on finding caches without a GPS, I turned to the only person I knew that had experience in GPS technology... FSU*Noles. He gave me some great advice and recommendations on purchasing my first GPS unit, and taught me about a piece of equipment that I had never given much thought about. He even offered to load full maps on it for me! One day, I received a package in the mail from him... it contained a geocoin and one of his personalized path tags - both of which I still possess.

From there, my interest in the sport grew and I found myself spending my spare time out on trails and in parks looking for geocaches. Then I discovered how fun it was to hide geocaches so that others could have something to look for, and I'm now proud to maintain a whole bunch of them.

A few more notes about FSU*Noles include: his family is on the Florida State University's Booster Club, married with 4 kids, loves shopping at Target stores, and is a realtor and sells houses!

So, I'd like to thank FSU*Noles for introducing me to geocaching with this cache in his honor! I always knew that eventually we'd get together and hunt caches someday. On March 6, 2010, we met for the first time at ground zero and I watched him find and sign the log of this cache.

**Congrats to nfk4704 on being the FTF!!**
