Geocache Description:

A cache with just a twist enough, room for a log book only so you'll need to BYO pencil.

Please, Please, Please use stealth! This cache has been muggled way too many times...

At ground zero you will find yourself staring at a large camel, one of the many interesting sculptures signifying part of Port Augusta’s History.

The camel is out the front of Port Augusta and the mid north’s tourist information hub, The Wadlata Outback Centre and has an average of 100,000 visitors per year.

Inside there are many attractions where you can enter the center’s “tunnel of time”, see how camels, ships, bikes, horses and cattle opened up this vast land, go on journeys with the early settlers and many other interesting ways to discover the local area.

Visiting Port Augusta as regular part of my employment I quite often check this place out to learn the history of our own part of the outback and I recommend a look if you get the chance.

It’s also a great source in information for solving and finding cache’s in the local area.
