Geocache Description:

Scottown is home to Lawrence County's only covered bridge.

The Scottown Covered Bridge, also known as the Red Covered Bridge, is the only covered bridge in Lawrence County. The multiple kingpost bridge was built in 1874 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The 79 foot bridge spanning Indian Guyan Creek was renovated in 1991. The bridge is no longer open to local traffic as there is a new bridge adjacent to the covered bridge.

Cache is a small key box.
