Geocache Description:

This cache is located within easy walking distance from the suggested free parking co-ordinates N51.58.320 E001.00.644 or can be a drive by.

The cache is a small plastic tupperware box located overlooking the Dedam Valley where John Costable painted famous paintings in particular "Dedham Vale: Morning". It is suitable for wheelchairs and buggys and is located in walking distance of village shop, tearooms and pub and local tourist attractions such as the St Mary's Church Bell Cage & famous painter John Constable's family home and studio and Flatford where he painted "The Haywain", Flatford Mill and Fen Lane and many more. There is a nice bench at the cache location to stop and admire the view. It is possible to follow the road down to Flatford with access to an assortment of footpaths which lead down to the Beautiful River Stour and other caches such as Constables cache & Constables Cache, Hatties Hoard & Bluelambs Farewell to Dedham (make sure you get the clues first). This area is part of the National Trust and is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and perfect for dogs and all the family.There is also a tea rooms and gift shop and small museum in Flatford.
