Geocache Description:

Whistler Mountain, summertime only cache. Snow!

Originally a 1 litre plastic ice cream container (upgraded to a lock n lock on July 20th 2009, by datablade) covered by a few rocks and under a krumholz spruce bush at 6239 feet elevation.

"A straight compass line may be the shortest and quickest way for a crow (Corvus caurinus) to get from A to B; this is not generally true for a man (Homo sapiens) on the ground in rough terrain!".

Travelling Pet Rock #9

  • Began at Plantman_geocache#9, near Whistler, BC, Canada, N 50° 03.955 x W 122° 56.679, October 4, 2001.
  • Left with pcakes, August 6, 2002 for parts as yet unknown.
  • Arrived in Coastal Cliffs cache, N 48° 05.057 x W 123° 01.247, near Sequim Washington, USA, August 9, 2002. Thanks Pete. That was quite an elevation change, over 6200 feet, hope he didn't get a nosebleed!
  • Left with Ryan and Jennifer Robin about Saturday August 31, 2002, for the Salem Oregon area.
