Geocache Description:

Friends of Scull Shoals are creating a herb walk along this interpretative trail. All brand new and primitive woods. Some off trail.
Spray for woods. Boots and long pants best or old gym shoes. New road so muddy at times. Park at gate and walk in unless open. No fee.Cache friendly members.I saw no poison ivy at cache site..

Permission from FOSS Board of Directors. Open to public.
Dogs on leash and dispose of droppings away from the open areas and trails please. Bug spray of course your in the woods some what but not thick.
This cache is close to an open area where a buried cable line is. Therefore, it continually is cleared from time to time. Blackberry brambles will take advantage of an area like this and need sun to grow. Dr. Durham used the roots as a mouth wash and for venereal disease. Blackberry root has historically been used to stop diarrhea.
