This cache is located at the Ponkapoag Dam in Canton, MA. You can access this trail by parking in the Ponkapoag Golf Course lot and walking the tree lined paved road which cuts through the course. At the end, head right toward the dam. This is a nice walk and family & dog friendly. For a longer trek, park at Fisherman's Beach, off of Randolph St. and take the Ponkapoag Pond trail to the left. Please note, the coordinates are slightly off. If you have difficulty finding it, use the clue.
This is our first cache! We chose this site for its beautiful views of Ponkapoag Pond and Big Blue. Once you find the cache, you can take the trail left and check out the Cedar Bog - quite a unique experience and worth doing. There are lots of other trails around the pond as well - there is a map at the trail head for your reference. There are multiple caches hidden around Ponkapoag Pond; check the listings before you come, and you could grab a few before you go. Enjoy!
