Geocache Description:

Located near the Drakensberg Gardens Resort - Southern Drakensberg

A popular short hike just over 4km, gaining 400m in elevation. That criss-crosses the Mashai River a number of times.

There are the usual KZN Wildlife entrance fees payable at the Garden Castle entrance. From the car park the path is well signed posted. A down loadable track is available here
or a better one we think HERE.

While walking keep a look out for "The Monk" on the right and the huge bulk of the Mashai Peak (3313m ASL) towering in front of you.

An Optional Extension is heading on past the cave to Engagement Cave a futher 700m along the path.
