Geocache Description:

Technopolis (former Gazi Factory).

The Ball of the Millennium
Technopolis covers an area of approximately 30 acres and constitutes of one of the most interesting live industrial museums in Europe.
It is located in the old Gas factory in Athens, known as "Gazi", next to Kerameikos. Gazi was gradually transformed into a versatile cultural center, hosting various events. The charm of another era that is given off by the chimneys, the enormous cauldrons (gas containers), funnels and ovens establish the place as a factory of art.
The complex has been completely restored by the City of Athens which is its owner. Today, the area of Gazi serves as an industrial park and is used as a cultural center. Technopolis has been in operation as a cultural center since 1999. It is dedicated to the memory of the composer Manos Hatzidakis.
The symbol of Technopolis is "The Ball of the Millennium", a sculpture of Nikos-Giorgos Papoutsidis.
Numerous exhibitions are held here, including some large-scale art installations. Technopolis also hosts concerts, readings and other cultural activities.
To go there, the nearest Metro station is Kerameikos.

HAPPY Geocaching!!!

The Cache
The cache is film canister with a strong neodymium magnet. It contain only a piece of pencil, a logbook, and a stashnote in English and in Greek. It's better to have your own pencil, just in case...
Please be very careful when searching for the cache because in Greece the people are very curious and the area is full of muggles

Please, hide the cache carefully, exact as you found it.
