Did you know?.....Georgia may be classified as the Peach State, but South Carolina ranks higher, second only to California in growth and production of these tasty fruits.
Many varieties are grown in this great state and ripe peaches can be sought out at grocers and roadside stands from mid May all the way through September.
Although there are no orchards along this trail, you can still take a peach along with you to enjoy as a snack.
