Located nearby this cache site, the Cool Springs Life Sciences Center houses companies involved in Life Science product development. The first tenant in this burgeoning campus is BioMimetic Therapeutics, Inc (Nasdaq: BMTI). BMTI focuses on recombinant proteint therapeutics to aid in musculoskeletal healing (bone, tendon, cartilage and ligament injuries) utilizing a synthetic replica of a naturally occurring protein in our bodies that comes from platelets - platelet derived growth factor.
