Coeur d'Alene, Id. Slightly steep trail leading from River Ave/Rosenberry Dr (What us locals call the Dike Road) by NIC down to the grassy "observation deck" part of the beach. This is a public beach area right by NIC, so please watch for muggles and be stealthy! You are looking for a small blue waterproof container.
During my college days at North Idaho College, I had to be inventive to find Science classes that met my degree requirements but did not include living being disection as I do not believe in that for non-medical degree seeking students. Therefore, I turned to classes such as Astronomy, Environmental Science, and Botany. During one summer semester I enjoyed my Astronomy class with our very own Absent Minded Professor. :-) A couple times during the semester we had "Star Parties" where we would take the telescopes out to explore the night sky. One place that we did this was right by the college at the Coeur d'Alene Lake (off of Dike Rd.) There is a very nice grassy "observation deck" that is perfect for this kind of activity. Hmmm...also a nice geocaching location! Available day or night but if you decide to make it a nighttime adventure, bring your telescopes and enjoy the stars! (Night before 10 pm I think....there was a sign that says the beach is closed from 10 pm-6 am, but I do not know if that includes this area!) FTF gets a large star pendant. **Congratulations to Team Nimrod for being the first to find!** This cache is fun, easy, and definately kid friendly so enjoy!!
