This cache used to be the finale stage of Rocking Bird in Ft Custer. The original container was destroyed by a bulldozer and was beyond repair.
Moldslug and I were fortunate enough to share a co FTF on this cache while heading to Hastings on a FTF run.
During Fall Fun Day we were caching with a couple of other cachers, they found stage 1 pretty quick then as we pulled close to GZ I said something is very wrong here. The entire area had been cut down and all the stumps and tree's were bulldozed over.
I phoned the owner to let him know one of his favorite caches was missing just then one of the other cachers said is this it. The cache had came off the tree and had been ran over by the dozer. They signed the log and we removed the cache with the owners permission.
Since the owner really liked this cache we decided we wanted to salvage some of the parts and create a new cache.
We recycled all the screws and the front of the cache but the rest was beyond repair so I tossed it into the woodburner in the barn for a little heat.
I think this cache was used several other times do you recall what it may have been named.
