Geocache Description:

Mario Cache by Mcreaser
Mario

This is a themed cache placed in honour of everyone's favourite Italian plumber, Mario. Mario first appeared in Donkey Kong in 1981, where he was known as Jumpman. Since then he has appeared in over 200 games in almost every conceivable genre, and has become the most recognisable videogame icon in the world. I was originally planning on a puzzle cache based on Mario trivia, but decided instead on an easy traditional hide for the kids.

This cache will be a very easy find, and is a great one for the younger cachers out there. The initial cache contents included some Mario-themed trade items that, while not valuable, were hard to come by. Please do not take more than one of those items, and consider leaving them for caching families. There is a variety of regular trade items as well.

Luigi

FTF prize is an un-activated travel bug tag. This geocache is also the home location for our travel bug It's-A-Me!!.

There is lots of Juan damage in this area and the terrain isn't the greatest, but there is no need to climb over/through any fallen trees. Stay on the path until about 20m past the broken pipe and then angle back towards the cache and it should be smooth sailing. This was our first attempt to hide a cache with only the Blackberry and it was tough to get a good reading, so let me know if the coordinates need adjusting.

Please note that while the cache is listed as a large container (it's in between medium and large), the outer container is not waterproof. Therefore if you are planning to leave anything larger than a typical travel bug, you should bring a ziplock bag to place it in.
