Located across the Turkey River from the Prairie's Edge Nature Center, campground and bike trail.
This Howard County Park is typical Midwest riverland woods with lots of spring wildflowers. The cache is an ammo container.
During the winter months, the parking area closest to this cache is chained off, but parking is readily available across the road.
To remain free of stingiing nettles in the summer season, head to the high ground right away, rather than the river bottom land. Heading up hill from the bottom of the seasonal parking area toward the limestone remains of an old shelter would be a good choice.
