Take a nice little stroll or bike ride along the Mangere - Onehunga Cycleway past the container storage facility.
The Mangere - Onehunga section of the Auckland Cycleway between Southdown and New Windsor was completed in 2006 and with an $800k budget blowout put the cost in the vicinity of $3.3m. Once completed, the 12km cycleway is estimated to cost $5 million.
Located near one end of the track, the camo'd, lunchbox sized cache is hidden in a fairly obvious location but off the main path.
A great bike ride for all of the family along the edge of the Manukau Harbour. If you're really keen, go across the old Mangere Bridge and head out to Ambury Farm!
**Since this cache was placed there has been a slight 'modification' to the surrounding area (fence!) which now requires a little athleticism!
