Event Results
On 12 December 2009 this event was held. It was a great success,
with 9 assistants that traded TBs and later some of them set to
find caches in northen Buenos Aires as planned.
Interesting and fun. A big thank you to all the geocachers that
came!
Come meet other Geocachers, share your geocaching stories, have
fun and exchange your travel bugs and geocoins!
Whether you are a local geocacher or a visitor from abroad,
and whether you are new to geocaching, interested in it as a fun
family sport, or want to take your skills to the next level, join
us for an afternoon of geocaching talk and activities.
The activities
- Making friends and chatting: We'll talk a lot, present
each other and share our geocaching experiences.
- Tutorials: If you want to learn, we can cover the basics
of Geocaching, GPS and paperless caching.
- Exchanging stuff: Bring your TBs and GCs to share.
- Hiding a cache: If the group wants to, we can walk a few
miles to the 'reserva ecologica' to hide a new, large-sized cache
and leave some TBs in it.
- Going geocaching and scoring FTFs: As a secondary
objective, the group can later (or on Sunday) set to find two
series of caches located to the north of Buenos Aires: the
tren de la costa ride series and the
Surviving in Buenos Aires series. This last series was just
published, and will have at least three new caches published on
the date this event is held so attendees race to score a
FTF.

Pasts and upcoming events
On October 2009 the
First Geocaching Event of Buenos Aires was held and it was a
big success. We now try to repeat that success.
One week ahead, on Saturday December 19, a
Geomeeting in the La Plata city will be held. On this event we
may be able to offer free transportation to La Plata for that
evemt.
Notify your intention to attend
Click on "log your visit" and then choose "Will Attend"
(instead of "Write note") as the Type of log.

El 12 de Diciembre de 2009 se realizó este evento. Fue un gran
éxito, con 9 asistentes que intercambiaron TBs y luego algunos
fueron al norte de Buenos Aires a buscar caches, tal como se había
previsto.
Fue muy interesante y entretenido. Un agradecimiento especial a
todos!
Ven y reúnete con otros Geocachers, comparte tus experiencias
en geocaching, diviértete e intercambia tus travel bugs y
geocoins!
Ya seas un geocacher local o un visitante del extranjero, y
ya seas un principiante, estes interesado en geocaching como un
deporte familiar, o quieras llevar tus conocimientos al próximo
nivel, únete a nosotros para una tarde de charlas y actividades de
geocaching.
Las actividades
- Hacer amigos y charlar: Charlaremos mucho,
presentándonos y compartiendo nuestras experiencias en
geocaching.
- Tutoriales: Si quieres aprender, podemos cubrir las
cosas básicas de Geocaching, de GPS y de 'paperless caching'.
- Intercambiar: Trae tus TBs y GCs para
intercambiar.
- Esconder un cache: Si el grupo lo decide, podemos
caminar un par de Kilómetros hasta la reserva ecológica para
esconder un nuevo cache de gran tamaño y dejar allí algunos
TBs.
- Ir de geocaching y lograr algunos FTFs: Opcionalmente,
el grupo puede más tarde (o al día siguiente) dedicarse a encontrar
dos series de caches, localizados al norte de Buenos Aires: la
serie
tren de la costa ride y la serie
Surviving in Buenos Aires. Esta última recién fue publicada, y
tendrá como mínimo tres nuevos caches que se publicarán el día
de este evento, para que los asistentes compitan para lograr un
FTF.

El Restaurant Hooters en Puerto Madero (fijate en las
coordenadas). Sábado 12 de Diciembre, 3
pm.
Eventos pasados y futuros
En Octubre de 2009 se realizó el
Primer evento de Geocaching de Buenos Aires y fue un grán
éxito. Ahora solo tratamos de repetir ese éxito.
Una semana mas tarde, el Sábado 19 de Diciembre, se llevará a
cabo un
Geomeeting en La Plata. En este evento es posible que podamos
ofrecer transporte gratuito hasta La Plata, para asistir al
Geomeeting.
