Geocache Description:


The monument is set up in the Ichinoe Sakaigawa hydrophilicity park. In the park, there are a restored short iron bridge and railway track, and bronze objet of the trolleybus and the tram is decorated in the glass case in the symbol tower in the park.
This is a remaining influences where the metropolitan streetcar Edogawa line of Kito [den**] had started before on this ground though two kinds of tiles "Matchbox train" and "Trolleybus" are buried under the pavement in the nearby Imai highway.
Is the Edogawa line east Arakawa that opened as [imaisen] of Kito [den**] on December 31, 1925?3.2 in the total length that connects [imaihashi] It is said that it is a route where ? is short, and the Komatsugawa line in the opposite bank where the Arakawa tailrace was placed was a route formal with which it was not connected after all. Afterwards, it has the history of becoming a Tokyo streetcar in 1942, and having been made to the trolleybus the ten years later.

Ichinoe was a town where the metropolitan streetcar ran in old times.

一之江境川親水公園にはモニュメントが設置されています。公園内には、復元された短い鉄橋と線路
があり、公園のシンボルタワーのガラスケースの中には、トロリーバスと路面電車のブロンズ製オブ
ジェが飾られています。
近くの今井街道の歩道には、「マッチ箱電車」・「トロリーバス」という2種類のタイルが埋め込ま
れていますが、これは、かつてこの地に城東電軌の都電江戸川線が走っていた名残なのです。
江戸川線は、城東電軌の今井線として大正 14年12月31日に開通した、東荒川〜今井橋を結ぶ全長3.2
?の短い路線で、荒川放水路を挟んだ対岸の小松川線とはついに結ばれなかった、離れ小島的な路線
だったという。その後、昭和17年からは東京市電となり、その10年後にはトロリーバス化されたとい
う歴史を持っています。

一之江は、昔、都電が走る街だったのです。
