Scarlet Tanager

I never knew of a Scarlet Tanager before this year. One was pointed out to me by Highland Ranger and I was lucky enough to snap a photo of it with my simple camera. I had posted it on Facebook in my “Geocaching Today” album and it was commented upon by NaturgirlefromNY, saying, “Is that a Scarlet Tanager?” Yes, I must have lived a sheltered life. Now, with having completed the mystery cache in the Ramshorn-Livingston preserve and having seen that Scarlet Tanager rear its head once more, it seemed it was kismet to name this new multi, “Scarlet Tanager”.
