Chalk Bluff on the Big Hole
The white bluff visible from the cache location has been a local land mark called "Chalk Bluff" for years.
The nearby homestead was by the Toomey family, which named nearby Toomey spring and Toomey lake. Harry Anderson last lived there in 1949.
Rumor is that the Indians used the bluff as a buffalo jump.
